PROJECT OVERVIEW

The award-winning University of South Carolina’s Gamecock Park was designed as a state-of-the-art tailgate facility with shaded tent zones, cable TV hookups, electrical outlets, and permanent restrooms for game day celebrations. This multi-use space supports year-round opportunities for multiple use such as concerts, food, and art festivals, and other outdoor gatherings. The plans were prepared based on a “parking lot within a park” concept. The central open space, named The Garnet Way, is a grassy promenade lined with specimen scarlet oaks. Green design concepts were incorporated into the plan.
