Trustees Garden

PROJECT OVERVIEW

As one of the original 13 colonies and oldest city in Georgia, Savannah is one of the premier Southeast destinations that exudes historic beauty and charm throughout both its’ building and landscape architecture. One location that is notable for this is The Trustees’ Garden. Dating back to 1733, this historic iron works and gas manufacturing site was the first residential historic preservation project in Savannah. This site is now utilized as an urban district complete with hotels, restaurants, residential, office, commercial spaces, public squares and gardens.

Wood + Partners alongside a team of architects, contractors, and engineers, was commissioned to provide the redevelopment planning to include Landscape and Hardscape Design through Construction Documentation Services of an events garden, amphitheater and performing arts stage.
