PROJECT OVERVIEW

Hired by Southeastern Development Associates, Wood + Partners provided detailed master planning, and schematic design through construction phase services for the Aiken Mall Redevelopment in Aiken, SC. This mixed-use+/- 44 acre site will include retail, multi-family, and public space. The property is located at the entrance to Woodside Plantation, the largest residential community in Aiken containing 3 golf courses and more than 3,000 homes. Upon completion, the Aiken Mall redevelopment will include 256 Class A multifamily units, a hotel site, and 146,000 S.F. of retail which includes an exterior renovation for the Belk store and new retail/restaurant shops all centered around a new city park. In addition to the park, the public space will also include a new walking trail constructed around the perimeter of the property.
